Terms of Service

Status: DRAFT. Andrea: read end-to-end and edit. Square brackets mark placeholders that need real values (postal address, governing court venue, pricing pages once they exist). Norwegian translation comes after the English version is locked.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Somastry, the somatic-astrology service available at somastry.app ("Service"), operated by Andrea Altier and Kilo Scheffer ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Somastry provides:

• Astrological chart calculation from birth data you provide
• Personalised readings generated from your chart
• Weekly somatic practices recommended based on your chart

Somastry is a reflective tool. It is not a medical, psychological,psychotherapeutic, financial, legal, or relationship-counselling service. Readings and recommendations are interpretive content — not professional advice. If you need professional advice on your physical or mental health, your relationships, or any other significant decision, please consult a qualified professional.

2. Eligibility

To use Somastry you must be at least 16 years old. By creating an account you confirm that you are at least 16, that the information you provide is accurate, and that you are legally capable of entering into a binding contract under the laws of your country of residence.

If you create an account on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

3. Your account

You are responsible for:

• Keeping your sign-in credentials secure
• Activity that takes place under your account
• The accuracy of the personal data you provide (yours and any partner's data you enter — see also section 4)

You may close your account at any time from Settings → Delete my account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that we believe are being used in violation of these Terms — see section 9.

4. Partner data

When you provide birth data for a partner or another person to generate a composite chart, you confirm that:

• You have their permission to share that data with us, or
• The data is publicly known (e.g., a public figure for educational exploration) and they would not reasonably object to its use If a person whose data you have entered asks us to remove it, we will do so on request even if they do not have an Somastry account.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful purposes
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service except where the law permits
• Bypass authentication, scrape, or programmatically access the Service in ways that aren't expressly permitted
• Submit data that you do not have the right to submit, including another person's birth data without their permission
• Use the Service to harass, defame, threaten, or harm another person
• Upload malware or attempt to compromise the security of the Service or other users
• Use the Service to develop a competing product

6. Intellectual property

6.1 Our content

The Service, including its software, design, written interpretations, visual sigils, weekly practices, and other content, is owned by Andrea Altier and Kilo Scheffer or licensed to us. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes for the duration of your account.

You may not reproduce, redistribute, sell, or create derivative works from our written interpretations or other content without our written permission.

6.2 Your content

You retain ownership of the personal data you provide (your name, birth data, journal entries, etc.). By providing it, you grant us a licence to process it as described in our Privacy Policy solely to provide the Service to you.

6.3 Generated content

Personalised readings and practices generated by the Service for your chart are licensed to you for personal use. We retain ownership of the underlying interpretation library and the generation system.

7. Subscriptions and payment

Signup and your personal chart with three faces is free permanently for full access to the readings and the somastry library, the Somastry.app provides three tiers of monthly subscription:

• Personal monthly subscription includes shadow side and somatic practice
• Standard monthly subscription includes relationship readings
• Premium monthly subscription includes shadow side and somatic practice

8. Service availability

We aim to keep the Service available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for losses caused by temporary unavailability.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the Service. If we discontinue the Service entirely, we will give you at least 30 days' notice and an opportunity to export your data.

9. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if:

• You materially breach these Terms (e.g., violations of section 5)
• We are required to do so by law
• Continued provision of the Service to you would expose us or other users to legal or security risk

On termination, your data is deleted as described in our Privacy Policy section 5.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including (without limitation) implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements, that its operation will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that defects will be corrected.

Astrological content is interpretive. We make no claim that any reading, recommendation, or practice will produce a particular outcome, and you use it at your own discretion.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Norwegian law, we are not liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill
• Damages arising from your reliance on astrological content
• Damages arising from the unauthorised access to or alteration of your data, except where caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct

Our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service in any 12-month period will not exceed the greater of (a) the total fees you paid us in that period, or (b) NOK 1,000.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (e.g., for personal injury caused by negligence, fraud,or any matter for which liability cannot lawfully be excluded).

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Andrea Altier and Kilo Scheffer from any claim,loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

• Your breach of these Terms
• Your misuse of the Service
• Your provision of another person's data without their permission
• Your violation of any law or third-party right

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved by the competent courts of [Oslo / your home judicial district — confirm with a Norwegian lawyer], unless mandatory consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring a claim in your country of residence.

If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, this clause does not deprive you of any rights you have under mandatory consumer law.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will notify you by email or by a prominent notice in the Service at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.

15. Miscellaneous

• Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
• Severability. If a court finds any provision of these Terms unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
• No waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
• Assignment. You may not assign your rights under these Terms. We may assign ours in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
